2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a contact form, arranging a consultation, or entering into a service agreement with Quietpine, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and have the authority to enter into this arrangement on behalf of the Client. These Terms and Conditions form the basis of all services provided.
3. Service Description
Quietpine provides in-home care and companionship services for elderly adults in Taipei, Taiwan. Services are described in full on our Solutions page and in any written care plan provided to the Family Representative. Services are subject to availability in the relevant location.
We do not provide medical or nursing care. Our caregivers are not registered healthcare professionals and are not authorised to administer prescription medications without explicit guidance from the Client's treating medical team.
4. Service Arrangements
All care arrangements are confirmed in writing following a consultation. The care plan sets out the scope of services, scheduled hours, and any specific requirements. Any significant changes to the arrangement must be agreed in advance with the coordination team.
We reserve the right to adjust caregiver assignments for operational reasons. Where possible, continuity of caregiver will be maintained. The Family Representative will be informed of any changes.
5. User Responsibilities
The Family Representative agrees to:
- Provide accurate information about the Client's health, mobility, and care needs
- Disclose any changes in the Client's condition that may affect care delivery
- Ensure the home environment is reasonably safe for the caregiver
- Treat Quietpine staff with respect
- Pay agreed fees within the stated terms
- Not request caregivers to perform tasks outside the agreed care plan
6. Payment Terms
Service fees are stated in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$). Invoices are issued in advance of each service period. Payment is due within seven days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may result in temporary suspension of services. Quietpine does not accept responsibility for any financial arrangements made directly between families and individual caregivers outside of an official agreement.
Cancellation: Notice of at least 48 hours is required to cancel or reschedule a visit. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may incur a partial service charge. For Round-the-Clock arrangements, 7 days notice is required to pause or end the arrangement.
7. Service-Specific Terms
Daytime Companionship: Scheduled visits of agreed duration. Caregivers will not be available to extend visits without prior coordination team authorisation.
Errand & Outing Assistance: All outings are planned in advance. Medical appointments should be confirmed and details shared before the visit. Quietpine is not responsible for delays caused by third-party transport services.
Round-the-Clock Home Support: Arrangements involve a rotating team. A primary caregiver will be designated but staffing is subject to availability. Quietpine commits to uninterrupted coverage and will manage scheduling internally.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Quietpine website, including text, design, and imagery, is the property of Quietpine. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of this content without prior written permission.
9. Disclaimers
Quietpine provides personal care and companionship services. We do not offer medical diagnoses, treatments, or clinical interventions. No guarantee is made regarding specific outcomes for the Client's health or wellbeing. Care plans are designed in good faith based on information provided by the family.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Taiwan law, Quietpine's liability for any claim arising from service delivery is limited to the value of fees paid for the relevant service period. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. This limitation does not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Termination
Either party may end a care arrangement by providing appropriate written notice (48 hours for scheduled visits; 7 days for ongoing arrangements). Quietpine reserves the right to terminate an arrangement immediately in cases where the safety of our caregivers is at risk or where these Terms have been materially breached.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). In the event of a dispute, we encourage informal resolution in the first instance — please contact us directly at [email protected]. Where informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court.
13. General Provisions
These Terms and Conditions, together with any written care plan, constitute the entire agreement between the parties. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision at any time does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify active clients by email. Continued use of our services following notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
